Beverly Jene Locklear

Beverly Jene Locklear passed away on Wednesday July 14th 2021 in Desoto Texas at the age of 87. Beverly was born March 3 1934 to Columbus G and Lorene Elizabeth Dyson in Dallas Texas. She attended Adamson High School in Dallas.

Beverly met Johnie Locklear,Jr. in 1950 when he was invited to her church. They were married November 1950 in Dallas and remained so for 59 years. She was a stay at home mom while their kids were young. She often said that raising her kids was the happiest times of her life.

Beverly started her career in bookkeeping when the kids were older. She went to work for Davis Hawn Lumber in Oak cliff. Her career in accounting spanned over 25 years. She enjoyed camping, traveling, shopping, doing crafts, and most of all her grandkids. She was a long time member of Duncanville Church of Christ.

Beverly is survived by her daughter Denise and husband Michael Kinney, son Johnie Dale and wife Donna. Grandchildren: Amy Birmes, Michelle Sauceda, Rachel Kinney, Sarah and husband Taylor Kennedy, Rachel Locklear, Jacob Locklear, Arron Locklear and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents C.G. and Lorene Dyson, husband Johnie Jr. and her brothers James and Jerry Dyson.
