Billie Ruth Gibson

Billie Ruth Gibson, 83, of Dallas, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 21, 1928 in Dike, Texas to the late Corry Rea and Martha Burkhart Spears. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Warren Gibson of Dallas, TX; a daughter, Martha Newman and her husband, Marcus, of Bedford, TX; three grandchildren and their spouses, and one great granddaughter; a sister, Martha Martin and her husband, a brother, Clifton Spears and his wife, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She may have been small in stature, but her presence could fill a room. She will always be remembered for her love of fun, creativity, generosity, loyalty, and strong sense of ethics. We were so blessed to have her in our lives, and we will greatly miss her twinkling eyes and her delicious pies!

A Funeral Service will be at 12:00pm “Noon” Friday, July 13, 2012 in the chapel of Sparkman/Hillcrest, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX with Rev. Charles W. Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Sparkman/Hillcrest.
