Billie Jean Kelley

She received her education at Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas and graduated with top honors as Valedictorian of her class. She was a Manager of Unit Clerks at Methodist Hospital for over 27 years until her retirement. Actively served as a member of the Sanctuary choir for several years; Sunday School teacher and organizer of the “Sister-Sister” Class; Church Anniversary Chairperson and Fund Raiser for Stewardship; a member of the Church wide Discipleship Study group; Local Church Lay Speakers Ministry, Metro District of the UMC; Membership Chairperson; Local Church Prayer Warrior; and Member of the Organization of United Methodist Women of the Dallas Metro District and North Texas Conference United Methodist Women.

In 1970 she married Martin Kelley and they remained soulmates until his passing.

She is preceded in death by her parent s, J.B. and Carrie B. Robinson, Husband Martin Kelley her son Ronnie McAlpin her brother’s Ben Arthur Robinson and G.W Robinson, Her sisters Laura Ann Loftis and Lucille Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her Son Eric McAlpin(Shelia) Daughter Franchon Bishop, Daughter Vanetta Adams(Jessie) Son Darrell McAlpin (Brenda) Son Terrence McAlpin (Adreine) Son Kenneth McAlpin ( Andrienne). 16 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren.
