Billy Ray Wischnewsky

Billy was born in Houston, Texas, on October 4th, 1943. He grew up in Houston and moved to Dallas in 1967, where he raised his family, and remained until his death.

It was Billy’s new career as a sales executive in the corrugated packaging business that brought him, his wife and newborn daughter to Dallas. Billy spent his entire career in sales in the corrugated packaging business and was very successful. He poured everything into his career, achieving many awards and accolades.

Those who knew Billy knew he had a huge heart and was bigger than life. He loved his family, his friends and having a good time. He was always there for anyone who needed him.

In November of 1994, Billy married Beverly Lingle, who he often said was the love of his life. They both considered each other their best friend. They spent all of their time together. You rarely saw one without the other and they would not have had it any other way.

In 2013, when it was evident that Billy’s health would continue to deteriorate due to congestive heart failure, Beverly cared for him round the clock so he could stay home and not in a hospital or care facility. Beverly’s unconditional love and care for Billy, his children believe, prolonged his life an additional 3 1/2-4 years over the 6 months to 1 year the doctors gave him. He wanted to spend his remaining days in his home surrounded by loved ones and not in a hospital. And that is what he did, thanks to his loving wife Beverly.

Billy was passionate about life, his family, friends, golfing, barbeque, the lake and later in life, Choctow.

He will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Alfred Wischnewsky, his mother Lillian Cecilia Petrvolsky Wischnewsky Urbish, step-father George Urbish, and his older brother Larry Joseph Wischnewsky.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Beverly Lingle Wischnewsky, his daughter Stephanie Denise Wischnewsky Vosper, grandson Jordan Vosper, granddaughter Ashley Vosper, son Darryl Ray Wischnewsky (Jennifer Hall Wischnewsky), grandsons Hunter Wischnewsky, and Harrison Wischnewsky, and granddaughter Madison Wischnewsky, son Billy Wayne Wischnewsky (Amy Parrish Wischnewsky), granddaughter Shelby Wischnewsky and grandson Preston Wischnewsky. Brother, Darryl Lee Wischnewsky (Linda Wischnewsky), nephew Joshua Joseph Wischnewsky (Chaysen Cornell Wischnewsky), great-nephew Peyton Wischnewsky, great-niece Presley Wischnewsky, great-niece Piper Wischnewsky, nephew Jonathan Darryl Wischnewsky. And nephew Larry Joseph Wischnewsky. Loving Father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Jane Lingle. Brother-in-law James Lingle (Leslie Lingle) and niece Kaitlyn Lingle, niece Payton Lingle. Brother-in-law Mark Lingle (Katy Lingle), niece Sarah Lingle, nephew Matthew Lingle, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
