Mother Scruggs accepted Christ as the head of her life at an early age. She was married to
Mose Bailey Scuggs for 54 years. After moving to Dallas, TX i n 1950, she reunited with the
Church of the Living God where she served as a Teacher and a Sunday School Superintendent
from 1967 to 1998.
During their stay i n Dallas, unto them were born five children: Two girls Betty J. Scruggs- Harris and, Valerie R.Scruggs- Sims, and three boys Robert E. Scruggs, Roger L. Scruggs, and Issac C.Scruggs. In addition to her five children, Mother Scruggs leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 5 great- grand-children.
