

Bracy received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District. He attended Robert L. Thornton Elementary and South Oak Cliff High School. Bracy had one son, DeQualin Rogers. Bracy worked as a mechanic at Walmart and for the sanitation department of the City of Dallas.
He was a loving brother and friend. He always had an interesting joke to tell. He loved his family, and especially loved his son DeQuali,n whom he enjoyed spending as much time with as possible in his later years. In one note to family members he was quoted as saying, “It was special of both of you to come see me. I thank the Lord that I have someone like you to stand by me”.
Similar to his brother Bradley, Bracy loved the Washington Commanders football team and enjoyed every game that the Dallas Cowboys lost.
Preceding Bracy in death are his dad, John Butler; mom, Precious Butler; and brother, Bradley Butler. He leaves to cherish his memory his son DeQualin Rogers, his daughter-in-law Ashlie Rogers, his siblings Belinda Flowers, Barry Butler, Rev. Bruce Butler (Sharon), and Becky Butler-Ward (Dan), 3 grandchildren, Kaylie Sanders, Kasen Rogers, and Kaleb Rogers, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Bracy will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 University Hills Blvd, Dallas, TX 75241. A celebration of life will occur on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home.
