Bryant Cornelius Matherson

Bryant C. Matherson entered into his heavenly home September 22, 2014. Born, November 5, 1957 in Beaumont, Texas to Conice Jane Bryant and the late Arthur Matherson Jr. Bryant was dedicated to his church, Ervay Cedar Missionary Baptist Church, since early childhood. He served the Lord as a deacon, musician (drummer), usher, and finance committee member. Bryant was blessed with a loving family. Bryant leaves his beloved wife, Carolyn; son Bryant Jr. and his wife Candi and grand-daughter Brooklyn Savannah Matherson of The Colony, Texas. He is also survived by his mother Conice J. Bryant Matherson of Dallas, Texas; siblings, Patricia (Johnny) Watson of Houston, Texas, Theron Matherson of Beaumont, Texas, Mitzi (Guy) White of Los Angeles, California, Arthur (Shirley) Matherson III of Denton, Texas, Clint J. Matherson of Dallas, Texas, Nikki C. Matherson of Duncanville, Texas, Aaron K. Matherson of Desoto, Texas, and step-mother Thalia Matherson of Desoto, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; god-children Tymeka Coney, Garrison Reese, D’Ante Reese, Kristapher Hunter, Michael Lewis Jr, and Malcom Lewis; and a loving mother-in-law Jewelene Rodgers of Dallas, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Matherson Jr. Visitation Service will be Friday, September 26th at Laurel Land Dallas from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Memorial Service will take place Saturday, September 27th at 11:00 A.M. Ervay Cedar Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas, TX 75216.
