Born on January 22, 1935, in Vinita, Oklahoma, Nick was the beloved son of Lena Smith Solomon and Claude Solomon.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his brothers Gordon, Charles, and Olie, his sisters Christine and Erma, and his wife of almost fifty years, Judith Ferguson Solomon.

He is also survived by his older brother Nevil Solomon and youngest sister Abi Solomon Adkins along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Nick.
Nick Solomon grew up in Vinita, Oklahoma, and later moved to Dallas, Texas, where he attended Sunset High School. At the age of seventeen he answered the call of duty and served honorably in the United States Navy. He served on both the USS Oriskany and the USS Yorktown. The Navy took him on faraway travels, including time spent in Japan and the Hawaiian Islands, as well as a long-term naval assignment near the Kodiak Mountains in Alaska.
After his military service, Nick continued his education at the Business College in Dallas, equipping himself with skills that would serve him throughout his life.
He began his civilian career as a painter and later built upon it as an aircraft technician with LTV Vought Corporation in Grand Prairie, Texas, dedicating over thirty years to his craft. His precision and work ethic were hallmarks of his career. Beyond his professional achievements, Nick found joy in real estate, where he applied his talents to renovating houses to sell and rent, and he thrived as a landlord. This passion exemplified his entrepreneurial spirit.
Nick was a loving husband and proud father and grandfather. His happiness was infectious, and his kindhearted nature left an indelible impression on everyone he met. He never met a stranger. Nick had a way of lighting up a room with his smile and with his laughter.
Nick’s life was a testament to the value of hard work. His warm smile and generous heart will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of his remarkable life will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on Friday, November 14 at 11:00 a.m. (Located at 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, TX 75228 214-388-8887.)
