

Candace Ann Martinez, 36, of Texas, entered into rest Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Mansfield Methodist Medical Center. She was born July 28, 1981, in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Mark and Josephine Vanatta.
The unexpected and untimely passing of Candace has left us all with a heavy heart. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt. As a young girl she played the role of “Lil Momma”. She loved helping her mother with the cleaning and cooking. As she grew older and began her own family she was an amazing mother who wanted nothing more than to be there for her children. She always looked forward to taking family vacations and she loved the beach. She enjoyed hosting family get-togethers, she was often referred to as the glue that held the family together. Her life was devoted to taking care of her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband Robert Martinez Jr. of Mansfield, TX; her beloved four children, Roman, Julian, JonPaul and Sebastian; her loving mother Josephine Vanatta of Fort Worth; her adoring father Mark Vanatta of Conway, Arkansas; a brother, Mark (Katie) Vanatta Jr. and children Tristen, Nevaeh, and Kane of Mesquite, Texas; 3 sisters, April Davis her child Olivia of Fort Worth, Kacy (Rich) Kennedy and 3 children Keith, Samantha and Rosalie of New York, and Sandra Fontaine of Fort Worth; grandmother Patricia (Claude) Gilmer of Lone Oak, TX; grandfather Gary (Barbara) Cleveland of Big Sandy, TX. Along with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her grandmother, Frances Fontaine of West Monroe, LA; grandfather Joseph Coleman of Florence, MS; and her aunt Michelle Brown of Greenville, TX.
She is remembered with love by mother-in-law Irma Morris (Bella and Allyah); father-in-law Robert (Michelle) Martinez; sister-in-law Cristal (Junior) Martinez and 3 children Julia, Shianne-Goddaughter, Nevaeh; brother-in-law Marcus (Cori) Martinez.
A memorial service will be held at the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Cemetery on Sunday. November 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Boyer officiating. Followed by a reception at Calvary Hill Funeral Home.
