Catherine Lo Tan

Catherine was born in Canton, China on December 29,1934 to Lo Hon Men and Pang Chit Fong. She graduated from St. Stephen’s High School and continued to receive a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from University of Santo Tomas. Catherine was married to George Tan on August 8, 1962; they were married 39 years.

Catherine enjoyed sewing, traveling, and spending time with family. She was also actively involved in Adoration ministries at Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Irving and St. Ann Catholic Parish in Coppell.

Catherine is preceded in death by her husband, George; parents Lo Hon Men and Pang Chit Fong; sisters Mary Anne Pay, Josephine Lo, Grace Kwan and brother Charles Lo.

Catherine is survived by Samuel and Patricia Ann, Stephen and Maria Lourdes, Simon and Joy; her grandchildren Marie Bernadette, Christopher David, Gregory Patrick, Catherine Isabel, Gabriel Sebastian, Natalie Grace, and Nathan George; her sisters Patricia Lim (spouse Rudy), Milan Sy (spouse Wilfrido), and Helen Woo; her brothers Henry Lo (spouse Chisako), Edward Lo (spouse Jeanne), and Thomas Lo, and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Calvary Hill Chapel at 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220 with a rosary recitation at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 10:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church at 180 Samuel Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Catherine’s memory may be made to St. Ann Catholic Parish Prayer Shawl Ministry.
