Cecilia Theresa Reitz Young age 86 of Dallas, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011. She was born in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas on March 9, 1925; her parents were Rudolph Reitz and Anna Catherine Schneider Reitz. Cecilia was the 6th of 7 children; she graduated from Sunset High School in 1943. Cecilia married Bob Thomas Young on August 22, 1947 in Dallas and Mr. Young passed away May 26, 1986. Cecilia was also preceded in death by her daughter Mary Ann Young Miles. Survivors are her other children, Tommy Young, John Rudy Young, Gloria Lynn Young Pepper and Joseph Neal Young; three grandchildren Preston Pepper, Carter Young and Emma Young; one great grandson Jake Pepper; one sister Mary Eva Bee and one brother Edwin Reitz.
Visitation at 5:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2011 in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home, 10501 Garland Road, Dallas, Texas. Led by Deacon John Schell.
The Funeral Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3030 Gus Thomasson Road, Dallas, Texas. Rev. Michael Guadagnoli, celebrant.
Interment Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3237 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas.
