Charles Michael Hudnall, age 80, of Dallas, TX, passed away on June 12, 2024. He was born on November 23, 1943, in Dallas, TX. Known to everyone as Mickey, he was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, uncle and friend.
A proud alumnus of Highland Park High School, Class of 1961, Mickey excelled on the football field as well as in track and field. His athletic and academic journey continued at the University of Oklahoma and later at the University of Texas.
Mickey, known for his cowboy spirit and fierce competitive nature, found joy in most outdoor activities. He loved spending time with family water skiing at Lake Texoma, riding horses at the ranch or just throwing the football in the front yard. He was part of a 5-man skeet shooting team that set a 1971 world record. His love of books and the beach brought him much joy throughout his life. However, his greatest passion was working with, training and riding horses.
He was a devoted family man survived by his loving children: Charles "Chad" Michael Hudnall, Jr. (Kim), Beverly Hudnall Kay (John), Susan Cockrell Hudnall, Morgan James Hudnall (Anna), and Mason Joyner Hudnall (Jenny). He cherished every moment he spent with his grandchildren: John Michael and William Kay, Austin and Grace Hudnall, Gavin, Noah, Abel, Leah, Ruth and Hannah Hudnall. Mickey is also survived by his brother David H Hudnall (Gerry), sister Pam H Quarterman (Keith) and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death: his beloved wife, Susan G Hudnall, his parents, JB Hudnall II and Betty Harrison Hudnall and older brother, James "Jimmy" B Hudnall III, with whom he now reunites in eternal peace.
Mickey was a devout member of Prestonwood Baptist Church.
