His parents were John William Nutt and Virgie Seal. He had a brother Marvin and sister Lorene. He was in the United States Air Force from 1946 to 1949.
He was Christian and was baptized in the Methodist church. It was there he met and married his wife Harriett in 1958 and they were together 10 years until her death in 1968. They had one child, their son Charles David Nutt.
He was employed for over 50 years at Central Freight Lines and loved all the people he met and worked with there. He enjoyed playing guitar and listening to country music. Mainly he was a hard working man who took care of his job and his family.
He is survived by his son Charles David and wife Tami, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including nephew Mike Curtis. We all loved him very much.
Pastor Scott Chadwick will be officiating and Rachel Hudson will be the soloist.
Pallbearers are Mike Curtis, Jerry Hudson, David Park and Derek Park.
A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home; with a funeral service to follow Wednesday, May 13, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel and burial to immediately follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
