Mr. Charles Edward Watkins Jr. was born August 1, 1947 to the parentage of Mr. Charles Edward Watkins Sr. and Mrs. Velma Pugh in Jefferson, Texas. His public education was in Dallas, Texas. He was also a student at Bishop College in Dallas. He served in the military two stints in the Vietnam War serving in Okinawa. He met and married Ms. Julia Hill Watkins who preceded him in death. He was a great support and faithful member of God First Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jesse Jones. He was faithful until his health began to fail. Because of his strong character, he was known in the West Dallas Community as “Hercules”. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Irving Morgan. Survivors are: brothers; Bruce Morgan of Atlanta, GA, Danny Carl Watkins and Victor Watkins, both of Dallas, TX, six sisters; Doris Wattley, Maxine Jones (Jesse) Diane Mayes, Carolyne Morgan, Debra Morgan and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
