A Time to Plant:
At an early age, Charlotte Ann confessed Christ and was baptized at Marlin Missionary Baptist Church in Marlin, Texas. Because she always had a deep thirst for learning more about the Bible, she joined one of the first Growth Groups at Concord, Look at the Book, under the leadership of Pastor Ross Cullins. She later became a faithful member of the Smith/Blair Sunday School class. She was also a faithful and enthusiastic member of both Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and the Music Ministry Choir Bible Study Classes.
A Time to Serve
Miss Armstead was a devoted Christian servant who dedicated her life to ministry through music. She served in several music ministries in Marlin, Beaumont, and Houston, Texas, before moving to Dallas. In the spring of 1977, Charlotte joined Concord Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor E.K. Bailey. Because of her love for music and worship, she became an active member of various choirs within the church’s music ministry.
She also served in the drama ministry and produced original skits with the group Illumination. Sharing her joyful spirit and gift for laughter, she performed comedy under the name ‘Miss Ann’ at Concord and at various churches throughout the metroplex and across Texas.
A Time to Sow
Charlotte worked in various capacities, including being a supervisor for the United States post office for 32 years.
