Daniel Danny Wayne Lewis

Daniel Wayne Lewis 60, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, departed this life peacefully on March 14, 2010. A brilliantly gifted, intelligent and strong figure defined by his selfless compassion.

Danny was born January 10, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. Following graduation from H. Grady Spruce High School in 1968, Danny continued his love of being a master woodworker and high-end cabinet builder. In 1994, Danny graduated from East Texas State University and received a BS in Composite Sciences, and went on to teach Physics at Wills Point High School, where he will truly be missed by all his students and fellow staff.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Ernesteene Lewis, and brother, Samuel Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Patricia; daughter, Shannon Hudson; son, Travis Lewis; 9 grandchildren, Bentley Lewis, Abbey, Alec, Ava, Adam, Anna, Andie, Abel and Aiden Hudson, all of Terrell, TX. He is also survived by his sisters, Debbie Campbell of Abilene, Becky Madewell of Arlington and Connie Speer of Italy, TX; a host of other loving family members and friends.

A science scholarship fund has been established at Wills Point High School in memory of Daniel Wayne Lewis, donations are welcome in lieu of flowers.
