

David was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Perez and is survived by his sister, Virginia Anguiano, his brothers Maurice Perez Jr and Raymond Perez and four sons: David Jr and wife, Mayra Perez, Michael Perez, Daniel Perez, John Perez and wife, Valeeta Perez, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
David grew up in Little Mexico (Dallas, TX) with three brothers and four sisters. As the youngest son, he helped the family out with a paper route at 10 years old and later enjoyed attending Crozier Tech High School. He had an everlasting bond with all his brothers and sisters. He adored his sister Virginia and they had an unconditional love that was unbreakable. Though he was the youngest brother, he always had his older brother Raymond’s back. David was in ROTC and continued his military career when he joined the Army at 18 years old during the Vietnam War. David received a promotion to Army E2 at Fort Polk and was proficient in military skills. David met the love of his life, Rosemary, at a dance and they were married on June 20, 1970. The couple enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, dancing and celebrating life.
Services will be held on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Laurel Land Funeral Home 6300 S RL Thornton Frwy. Viewing from 10am – 12pm and Services at 12noon.
David will be interred at the DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
