Debra Ann Freeman was born in Dallas, TX. She was a loving woman with a heart full of compassion, as she lived a life of worship and prayer while giving to others until she retired. She died due to complications of the kidneys on December 4th, 2025 at the age of 68.
Debra was a devout mother, now reunited in peace with her daughter, Maisha Oni Muhammad, and lovingly remembered by her surviving son, Rashad Freeman. Throughout her life, she held many dreams— of becoming an actress, serving in the Air Force, or being a mother who spread love wherever she went. Ultimately, she chose to dedicate her life wholeheartedly to her family. She is forever honored for the sacrifices she made to provide for her children and for the boundless love she gave to her grand and great-grandchildren. Debra will always be remembered as a great listener, a tight hugger, and a beautiful soul.
Debra leaves to cherish her memory, her Son: Rashad Freeman. Grandchildren: Famara Motley, Najla Muhammad, Bey Muhammad, Basima Muhammad. Great-grandchild: Kaliyyah-Reign Muhammad. Siblings: Phillip Winston, Micheal Winston, and Anita Rowe.
A memorial service will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, located at 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232, United States. The service is scheduled for January 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
