

Diann Hardee Coleman was born to her parents, J. Moye and Alva Lee Hardee in Metter, Georgia on May 1, 1935, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 17, 2024. She graduated from Metter High School, where she played in the school band. She attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, and then transferred to the University of Georgia where she played the clarinet in the university marching band.
Diann married her high school sweetheart, Ben L. Coleman on November 24, 1955 and shared 68 wonderful years together. She worked for the Social Security Administration and the Department of Labor, where she traveled the five state area overseeing their Federal Training Program. After retiring from the Federal Government, she obtained her real estate license and worked for Coldwell Banker Realtors, earning awards for most listings and sales for many years as well as international awards. She was an active member of East Grand Baptist, Casa View Baptist and Lakeside Baptist Church, now Lakepointe Church- East Dallas. She was a Sunday school teacher and department director, and she enjoyed working with young people. Diann and Ben enjoyed traveling and visited 35 foreign countries and every state in the union, many of them multiple times.
She is survived by her husband, Ben L. Coleman, Son Mark Andrew Coleman and wife Hanna (Anya) of Wylie, TX, grandson Alexander (Alex) Coleman of Wylie, TX, sister-in-law Sarah O’Brien and husband James of Metter, GA, and sister-in-law Glenda Coleman of Baxley, GA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James (Jim) Moye Hardee, sister-in-law Eilene Hardee and brother-in-law William A. (Butch) Coleman.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Lakepointe Church East Dallas. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm with burial at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
