

Dolores Lilyan Stark (Dee), age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at home with her two daughters by her side. Born September 26, 1932 in Oak Park, Illinois where she was raised. Dee moved to North Dallas area where she became a long-time resident and an active part of the community. Dee was first and foremost all about her family and friends. She was a strong, independent, headstrong, and sometimes stubborn woman that was loved dearly by many. She was an amazing seamstress and pattern maker, great writer, gifted holistic/spiritual healer and physic, and a strong advocate for celiac sprue sufferers and part of the Gluten Intolerance Group of North Texas and the Celiac Sprue Association. There was never a dull moment with Dee around, and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Preceded in death by her loving daughter, Cheryl Ballantyne. Survived by her children, Pam Wurster of Dallas, Texas, Danna and Mike McCaig of Mesquite, Texas, Dale and Cynthia Wurster of Burnet, Texas, grandchildren Candice Livingston, Jeffrey Wurster, Samantha Wurster, Douglas Ballantyne, great-grandchildren Lillian Livingston, Aaden Lawson-Wurster, Corey Lawson, and Blossom Lily Lawson. Relatives and friends are welcome to come celebrate her life. Services will be as followed: Viewing at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6000 South R. L. Thornton Freeway 6:30-8:30 pm Thursday Feb. 9th with Memorial Service at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6000 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Friday, Feb. 10th at 2:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 11th at 10:00 am at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas.
