He was born on March 10, 1930 to Rozella and Guy Roush of Oklahoma City. He grew up in Oklahoma City and Enid, OK surrounded by his extended family. He attended Northeast High School in Oklahoma City and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to serve in the Korean War. Upon returning from Korea, he moved to Dallas for work. It was at this new job he would meet a telephone operator who would become his wife and partner of 66 years, Alice Marie Roush. Don and Alice would spend the next 66 plus years raising five kids in Mesquite. He spent 35 years with Western Electric and retired with AT&T.
Don is survived by his wife Alice Roush, his three daughters Gail Burket, and husband John, Sandra Knapp, and partner Brian, and Susan Embree, and husband Mike, his son Glenn Roush, Jr., and wife Jennifer, and his big brother Roy Roush, and wife Lydia. Additionally, he is survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Don was preceded in death by his son Glenn Roush Sr., and his parents Rozella & Guy Roush.
