DonnA Gavle Slocum, 97, of Dallas, Texas , passed away March 5, 2024. She was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on February 20, 1927. Donna graduated from Albert Lea High School and received her RN from Parkland Hospital Nursing Program in Dallas, Texas.
She was married to Stephen E. Slocum, Jr on September 2, 1952. She was widowed on July 1, 2012.
Donna worked in nursing and bookkeeping, and she had a passion for antiques and furniture repair. When her children were born, she became a full-time homemaker. She returned to study and work when her children were grown.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Condé Slocum of Sydney, Australia and Martha Slocum of Dallas, Texas.
