Doranda (Dory) Hurtt passed away peacefully on Friday, October 29, 2022. Dory was born on August 10,1955 in Dallas, Texas to Johnny and Claudia Colbert. Dory is survived by her two daughters, Amy (Brian) Williams and April (Chris) Nelson. She also leaves behind her loving partner of 17 years, Richard Brown and her 6 grandchildren, Austin Williams, Payton Nelson, Logan Nelson, Conner Williams, Ashton Nelson, and Kaiton Williams. Dory was a loving person who in her younger years was someone who enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed being with her family and friends and traveling to the beach or lake. Dory was known by many for her famous southern cooking which will be missed. Dory was an animal lover and usually had at least one dog or cat living with her. She could also be known for taking in a few animals that didn’t belong to her and making them her own. She loved to listen to music. Dory was never afraid to speak her mind and anyone that knew her knew she would. Dory’s feisty personality will be missed by all that knew her.
