

Earl Stevenson Baughman, Sr., was born on August 2, 1949, to the late Robert and Anna Baughman of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was baptized at the age of 15 at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church in Cincinnati, under the leadership of Bishop Elzie W. Young.
Earl graduated from Robert A. Taft High School in 1967. He was a singer in the school ensemble, a basketball player, and an honor student. He received a scholarship to Bishop College in Dallas, Texas, to play basketball. One of his favorite things to do outside of playing basketball was singing. At Bishop College, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
After graduating from college, he served in the United States Air Force from 1974 to 1978. He was released from active duty with an honorable discharge. He worked for the United States Postal Service for a number of years. He went on to work for Universal Protection Service, LP, until his retirement in November of 2017.
He fell in love with his college sweetheart, Adeline, whom he met at Bishop College, and they were married on June 11, 1977. To this union was born one son, Earl Baughman, Jr.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna Baughman; his daughter, Tia Lysette; his son, Earl Baughman, Jr.; his grandmother, Ann Burnside of Cincinnati, Ohio.
His memories will be cherished by his loving wife of 41 years, Adeline Baughman of DeSoto, Texas; his sister, Donna Jean Fields (Bernard) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his brother, Robert Baughman (Gloria) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his half brother, Jerome Howard; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia and Luis Samuel of Nolanville, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
