

The fruitful and productive life of Earlean Hooks Brantley came to a close on September 8, 2016 at her home in Dallas Texas.She was born October 10, 1953 in Ashdown, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Forest Hooks, Sr. and Estella Hooks, one brother, Lewis Rolfe, Sr., and one infant child died at birth, Frederick Douglas Brantley.She attended Unity High School in Foreman, Arkansas until 1969 and then attended and graduated from Foreman High School in Foreman, Arkansas in 1972.She accepted Christ at an early age when she united with St. Rest Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Matt Thurston. Rev. Clevester Rolfe, Sr. of Dallas, Texas is the current pastor.After graduating from high school, Earlean worked at Pilgrim’s Pride Chicken Plant in DeQueen, Arkansas for many years. Later, she moved to Dallas, Texas. Earlean was a member of Chapel Crest Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rickey L. Scott. As a faithful member, she attended Sunday School, and sang in the choir.On April 19, 1979, she united in holy matrimony with Frank Brantley. To this union three children were born: two sons, Frederick Douglas Brantley and Omar Brantley; one daughter, Ebony Brantley.She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Frank Brantley; two children, Omar Brantley and Ebony Brantley; one grandson, Ricky Holmes; five brothers, Morris Rolfe, Manuel Rolfe (Eddie Jewel), and Clevester Rolfe all of Dallas, Texas, William Hooks, Jr. and Roy Hooks (Scarlette) of Ashdown, Arkansas; four sisters, Cora Diggs (Fred) of Dayton, Ohio, Frances Lee (Cleophus) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Carolyn Deloney (Evester) and Mary Kay Matthews of Ashdown, Arkansas; a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
