Edgar Roy Behner

Edgar Roy Behner 77, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 in Garland, TX. Ed was born May 29, 1935 in Takoma Park, Maryland to Harold H. Behner and Dorothy Evadna Mathews. Big Ed moved his family to Dallas in 1963 upon his transfer with Braniff Airlines. He later went to work and retired from Raytheon (now E Systems) in 2000. He was a man of few words, many ideas and a good sense of humor. Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Ella Loreen Wolff. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Loreen Scarbrough Behner; children and their spouses, Terry and Betty Behner, Cindy and David Simpson, Vicki and Allan Young, Scott and Tami Behner, Shane and Julie Behner, Eric Behner and Tracy Behner; sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Ron Janetzke; 15 grandchildren, Brendy Massey, Tonia Behner, Jeffrey Behner, Jason Lewis, Cristina Lewis, Sophia Filipelli, Gretchen Young, Hope Young, Hayden Behner, Lucas Behner, Casey Behner, Ella Behner, Eddie Behner, Audrey Behner and Kyle Behner; 7 great grandchildren, Alec, Logan, Dominic, Gage, Brooklyn, Madalyn and Liam.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
