

Edna E. Davis Ward left this world on February 25, 2026, but her spirit, humor, and fierce love will stay with us forever.
Born in San Augustine, Texas on January 15, 1943, to Harby and Olevy Davis (who preceded her in death). Edna was also preceded in death by her sisters, Esther, Brindy, and Linda, and her brother, Robert Glen. Survived by brothers, Harvey Lewis (Patricia) and Toby Davis (Arynia). She built a life rooted in resilience and compassion. She moved to Dallas where she meet Kazell Ward in 1976 and married in 1982. She raised her family with a blend of tenderness and strength that shaped who we are today. She loved reading, studying, and teaching the Word of God. She also found joy in decorating and gardening and had a gift for making people feel at home.
She leaves behind her 3 children Patina, Robert (Candy), and Sharon (Johnny); grandchildren, Chauncey (Meeka), Brandon (Helenna) Brittany (Lance), Robert, Jr., Charrise, Olyvia, Joniqua, and Johnnise; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her voice, her laugh, and the way she could turn a simple moment into a memory worth keeping.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at rest in the presence of the Lord she served so faithfully.
Her legacy lives on in every life she touched and every garden she inspired.
