Ed is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Laverne; his father, Edward Ward Sr.; his mother, Juanita; his brother, Rollen; his sister, Margaret Hollis; his sister, Florence Mitchell; and his great grandson, Davis Miller.

Ed is survived by his wife, Joanne; brothers Douglas & wife Judy; Allen & wife Margaret; Arthur & wife Sandi; and sister Beth; his daughter, Pam & husband David; his son, Eddie & wife RoseAnne; his stepson, Randy & wife Desiree; his stepson Danny & wife Lisa; his stepdaughter, Lori & husband John. His granddchildren include: Candice & husband Richard; Holly & husband Oswaldo; Ashley & husband Brandon; Stephen & wife Bre; Michael; Christopher & wife Lindsey; Brittany, Edward IV, Kristi, Melissa, Lacey and Alyson; James and wife Theresa; Dylan and wife Allyssa

; Justin; Jason & wife Amanda. Ed also has 25 GREAT grandkids and many nieces and nephews.

Ed served his country in the Army National Guard. After his enlistment, he worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company from where he retired after 30 years. Ed served as a Deacon and head of the Audio department at Metropolitan Tabernacle Church in Pleasant Grove where he lived for many years. After a time there, God called him to Pastor a church, Harvest Time in Mesquite where he served the Lord and shepherded his flock faithfully for years.

Services will be held on Friday, June 26,2020, at 12:00pm, at Christian Center Mesquite,

4401 E. Cartright, Mesquite, TX, 75181. Viewing will be at 10:30am at the church above.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons Bibles in his name.
