Eldon E. Evans was born on January 2, 1930 in Libby, Montana and passed away on July 16, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Eldon spent his childhood in Libby Montana living with his grandparents who doted on him. He served with distinction in the Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with a degree in Business Administration. He was a successful businessman and very active in the Catholic Community. Since early childhood he showed great interest in planes. Because his color blindness prevented him from joining the Air Force, Eldon joined the Civil Air Patrol. Being a member of the Civil Air Patrol was the closest he was able to come to fulfilling his dream of flying. With the Civil Air Patrol, he was able to travel to many countries, including Peru where he met the love of his life, his soul-mate: Kika. He continued pursuing his connection to aviation as an Ambassador at DFW Airport for over a decade. Eldon's hobby was painting with yarn. He left us a large collection of beautiful embroidered pictures as a testament to his mastery of this art form. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kika Evans; his daughters, Rose Marie Glazer (husband William) and Mary Ann Evans; and his four grandchildren, Emily Evans, Carl Glazer, Samantha Glazer and Sydney Glazer. Join the family in remembering and celebrating Eldon’s life. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20 , with a gathering to follow at All Saints Catholic Church, 5231 Meadowcreek Dr., Dallas, TX. Mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 21 at All Saints Catholic Church. Committal will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery immediately after the service.
