It was late in spring of 1990. One Monday morning I was taking my daily walk at Redbird Mall . There I was doing ninety too nothing as usual and around the corner came Momma Booker with two white weights, one in each hand.  She also was walking tall and doing ninety to nothing. As we passed each other I spoke to her "Good Morning" with a cheerful smile and she responded back with a glorious "Good Morning" smile. On the next lap I crossed over to where she was walking . I told her my name and she told me hers. Then I noticed that she had ear plugs in her ears . Whatever she was listening to was Amazing, because she  was moving really fast.   I asked her what was she listening to,  she said" Her Pastors Sermon from Sunday's  Service".  I said that I hadn't seen her before and she told me it was her 1st day there but you could tell she had been working out somewhere. She told me about her pastor and church activities and I fell in love with her by the end of the week. A few weeks later she meet my two baby girls Stacey and Kristy we all fell in Love with each other. Later on in August she met my husband and soon after we met Brother Booker.  By this blessed time we were family, Brother Booker was my Papa and Sis Booker was my Momma and our young ladies had them a Compassionate, Loving ,Sweet and Godly Granny right away. She would invite us to come to Worship Service events but she was  mostly excited for our two young ladies ages 13 and 16 at the time to come and experience the holy spirit filled learning activities of the youth department.  We visited AFMBC most of the year and we became members in the spring of 91 . Momma Booker and I  went to bible study together and afterwards we visited the nursing homes and home bound members for 15+ years. Momma and Papa are and forever will be Appreciated, Cherished, Loved and Missed  for all the love and wisdom they have shared . We know Papa is excited to be with his Queen  B again.  We Love You Momma & Papa .                

When I joined Antioch in 1993, Pastor introduced me to Bro and Sis Booker because I needed extra spiritual guidance and parental guidance for my children.   Sis Booker was soft spoken and a woman of few words .  She mentored me through her life . The Bookers were that extra added bonus that I needed in my life and the lives of my children, now ages 30 and 27.    Love you guys so much Stephan and Deborah.   

Bro. & Mrs. Booker were instrumental in providing Christian and academic education to the youth department during their service at Carver Heights Baptist Church. I was one of many who benefited from their service. May their legacy live on.
