Ella Mary Jones was born August 6th, 1927 in San Augustine, Texas to Mary Jane Perkins. She grew up there and finished high school in 1944. She was married to Grover McDaniel on January 27th 1946 and of this union, Grover McDaniel, Jr. was born. This marriage ended and she later married Harry Jones on Easter Sunday April 5, 1947. Of this union, Sandra Jones Dawson was born. She was united with Bethel CME Church at the age of 14 and served there in San Augustine until she moved to Dallas. There she joined Ezell Chapel CME Church in 1947 and remained there until she was called home. During her years there she served on the Stewardess Board and was a member of the Bullockaires Choir. Ella Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Jones, and her son Grover McDaniel, Jr. She leaves to mourn her, her daughter Sandra Jones Dawson, her grandchildren Kevin McDaniel, Sonjja Zimmer, Nikki Dawson, Angela Kinard, Albert Dawson, Jr, Yasmine McDaniel, and Amore McDaniel, twelve great grandchildren, and several great great grand children.
