Genesis 2:2-3 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
God’s number of completion is 7. Oscar D. Williams and Annie Mae Walker Williams completed their family with the number 7 with Etta Laura Williams on November 15, 1949 in New Orleans, LA. Etta spent her childhood in Lettsworth, LA and her high school years in Monroe, LA where she graduated from Carroll High School in 1967. 50 years earlier, on the day God called her home, she boarded a bus headed to Dallas, Tx to start another chapter of her life.
On December 17th, 1974, Etta Williams married Ralph Allison in Longview, Tx. Through this union, they have two beautiful daughters: Tiffany T. and Traci T. Allison.
Etta returned to school and received her Associate’s Degree in Medical Administrative Assistant from PCI Health Training Vocational School in 1994. She worked at Timberlawn Mental Health Care Clinic and Parkland Hospital-6th Floor Clinic where she retired from in 2012. Upon retirement, she worked part time at the Good Street Baptist Church Food Pantry.
As Etta did 67 years ago by being the number of completion for “Williams Clan” through birth, she is the completion of life for the “Williams Clan” as she proceeds in death with her mother, father Oscar Sr and Annie Mae Williams, and 6 siblings. She also proceeds in death with both paternal and maternal grandparents as well as one of her best friend of 47 years.
Etta leaves to mourn her death but honor and celebrate her life: Companion Vernest Wilson, daughters Tiffany T. Holiness, and Traci T. Smith, 2 sons-in-law Anthony K. Holiness and Jeffery L. Smith, 7 grandchildren who were the pride and joys of her life Jonisha Holiness, Zaria Allison, Raven Holiness, Destini Smith, Anthony Holiness, Jr., Jeffery Smith, Jr., Jeremiah Smith all of Dallas, Texas. 2 half-sisters: Ella Mae Sommers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Dorothy Thompson of New Orleans, LA, half-brother New Orleans, La; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
