After joining the City of Dallas as a security guard, she played on several of the city teams along with her daughters. When her daughters moved to playing soccer, their competitive mom moved right over with them and started playing soccer also. Once she retired from the City of Dallas Security Department, she continued playing softball with Louie until the age 82.
Her passions were traveling, playing sports, family get-togethers on Sunday and Holidays and gardening – she loved tending to her azaleas, camelias and roses. Evelyn was a faithful Catholic teaching at CCD classes, and she was a staunch Republican. When not tending to her yard and flowers, she would be listening to Polka Music or watching Molly B or Fox news on TV.
