

Fannie Mae Booth Loftis was born on June 7, 1936, in Queen City, Texas, to the late John and Looney Webster Booth. She was the youngest of 13 children. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Queen City, Texas. She graduated from Thornton High School in Queen City, Texas, on May 26th, 1954. She received a basketball scholarship and continued her education at Jarvis Christian of Hawkins, Texas. It was there she met Samuel Dennis Pleasant. The two went on to marry and their union was blessed with four children: Marcia, Dennis, Lori Turner (Robert) and Marquis. She worked at the Veterans Affairs in Dallas for 40 years and received numerous accolades for outstanding service. She later married K.C. Loftis. It was after her marriage to K.C. that she moved her membership to Warren Avenue Christian Church, where she remained a faithful supporter and key figure in the Women’s Ministry until her death. She is met beyond heaven’s gates by her parents, John and Looney Webster Booth; husband, K.C. Loftis; and daughter, Marcia. Those remaining to cherish her loving memories include her children, Dennis, Lori and Marquis; seven grandchildren, Joe, Chris, Casey, Eboni, Winston, Ronell and LoRhonda; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
