

Florence grew up in Los Angeles and Summit, NJ, moving to Quincy, IL where she graduated from Quincy High School in 1950. She attended the University of Arizona, graduating in 1954, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. On June 25, 1954 she married her high school sweetheart Robert(Bob) Mullins. The newlyweds lived in the San Francisco area. In 1961 they moved to Dallas with their young family to start R.O. Mullins Co.
After having lived on the East Coast, the West Coast and Midwest, Dallas became her true home thanks to the friendships she formed. She loved her friends and she loved her life here. Florence was a community leader and held volunteer positions in many non-profit organizations including Dallas Easter Seal Society, Old City Park, Baylor Scott and White Dallas Foundation, Goals for Dallas, Arthritis Foundation, Children's Medical Center and the Community Foundation of Gunnison Valley.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O. Mullins.
Florence is survived by her children, Leeca Peeples(Jay), Martha Burkert(Craig), Robert Mullins(Laura), Sarah Allen(Stuart), eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Florence's life will be celebrated at a memorial service at 11am on Wednesday, May 3 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Donations can be made to Baylor Scott and White Dallas Foundation, Community Foundation of Gunnison Valley or Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Florence's name.
