Mrs. Frankie June (Naylor) Miles

Frankie June Miles was born September 16, 1936 in Roscoe, Texas. Her father was Charles Gotcher Naylor born November 17,1904. Her mother was Lena Rozelle Senter Naylor born June 16, 1907. Frankie’s father” Charlie” worked for the Trinity Portland Cement Company. Her family resided in the area known as Cement City, located three miles from Downtown Dallas.

Frankie had two older sisters Retha Rose and Evelyn Joyce. She had one younger sister: Marian Rozelle “Corkie.”

Frankie attended grade school at Eagle Ford and high school at Crozier Tech in Dallas.

Frankie married Henry Lee “Sonny” Miles on March 31, 1953 with Reverand WW Stogner officiating in Dallas, Texas.

Frankie and Sonny had four daughters : Jo Dee, Wanda Lee, Billie Rae, and Johnnie Kay.

Sonny worked for Lone Star Gas and later the US Postal Service. Frankie was a homemaker and stay at home mother.

The family purchased the home at 1127 N. Dwight, Dallas, Texas in 1963 located in the neighborhood known as Arcadia Park.

Frankie was a life time member of the Parent Teacher Association serving at the Arcadia Park Elementary School. She liked to sew and loved fishing trips.

The couple had seven grandchildren: six granddaughters: Laura Jean, Brenda Lee, Sarah Ashley, Jennifer Elizabeth, Amanda Jo, Rebecca Sue. One grandson: Danny Ray.

They had six great grandchildren: Carson, Caitlyn, Carter, Camden, Georgia, Margot.

Her father died at 67 years on September 22, 1971. Her mother died at 73 on February 24, 1980. Sonny and June lived in the Arcadia Park neighborhood until their deaths. Sonny passed at age 85 on October 7 , 2018. Frankie June passed at age 88 on August 29, 2025.
