Gary will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, his love of music, and especially the love he had for his family. His best times were spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, especially when they were together at the beach, which was his favorite place to rest and relax.
He also enjoyed woodworking, and had a true talent when working with his hands, whether it was creating something in his workshop, or playing the bass guitar on his own or with his band. Together they played at several local nursing homes, bringing fun and entertainment to the people there, and also at several other local venues. Gary also loved movies. You could always count on him having the newest releases along with his favorites and great classics, which he enjoyed sharing with his friends and family.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Durwood and Joyce Fisher. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Fisher; daughter, Jan Brown and husband Brad; grandsons, Cooper and Ethan Brown; aunt, Bonnie Smith; sister-in-law, Lisa Hill; cousins, Ross Smith and wife Cathy; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in Gary’s honor to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at www.Pancan.org, or to the American Cancer Society at www.Cancer.org/cancer/pancreaticcancer/
