Gerardo Manuel Sierra was born in Michocoan, Mexico to Eligio Sierra Ortiz and Sara Sierra Avila on May 11, 1949. He came to the United States in the early seventies along with some of his brothers and sisters seeking a better life for his family. He worked in various places throughout his early twenties and thirties. He then worked as a night watchman in his forties for a Volvo dealership in Irving TX. His last job was working as a paletero for many years for himself.
Gerardo Manuel Sierra is preceded in death by his mother Sara Sierra, father Elijio Sierra, son Edward Sierra, sister Guadalupe Sierra, brother Benito Sierra, sister Erlinda Sierra, sister Josephina Rosas, brother Juan (la cachana) Sierra, brother Jose Sierra.
Gerardo Manuel Sierra is survived by his first wife Ebelia Garcia, sons from oldest to youngest, Roberto Sierra, George Sierra, Paul Sierra, Cesar Sierra. Grandchildren from oldest to youngest, Alexander Sierra, Diego Sierra, Sarah Sierra, Christian Sierra, and Daniel Sierra. His second wife Ignacia Sierra. Daughters from oldest to youngest, Marlene Sierra, Deyanira Sierra and Sarah Sierra. Grandchildren from oldest to youngest Jennifer Sierra, Diego Sierra, Aiden Sierra, Javier Sierra and Miya Sierra. Brothers and sisters Amparo Jose Sierra, Jesus Sierra, Gerardo Sierra, Amelia Joya, Marialuisa Sierra, Lupe Sierra. All of his in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces and all his surviving family as far as the eye can see.
Pallbearers will be Roberto Sierra, George Sierra, Paul Sierra, Cesar Sierra, Marlene Sierra, Daniel (Moso) Sierra.
The family of Gerardo Manuel Sierra wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nurses and doctors who took care of him during the last days of his life while battling covid-19 corona virus at Baylor Hospital in Irving.
In the end God won his battle! All Glory to GOD. Amen!
