Gregorio “Greg” Martinez was born March 12, 1938 in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico. He left this earthly home on February 29, 2020 from Dallas, Texas. Greg started working as a taxi driver in Mexico eventually becoming a truck driver. When he moved to the United States he worked for many restaurants, he found his home at the Dallas Market Center though and dedicated 35 years before retiring. Greg married the love of his life Hortensia and they had 51 beautiful years together, raising their children and spoiling their grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and he loved when they brought him home baseball caps from their own adventures. His true enjoyment came from all the time with his family.
Greg is preceded in death by his parents; Evaristo Martinez and Leonor Bañuelos, Siblings; Carlos Cordero, Carolina Hernandez, and Roberto Hernandez
He is survived by his beloved wife, Hortensia L. Martinez; children, Yadira Martinez and husband Jeronimo Murguia, Jesse Martinez, Saul Martinez, Lily Martinez and husband Juan Martinez, and Luis Martinez; Grandchildren, Jacqui, Vivi, and Evvi Murguia; Jessica and Ervin Martinez; Jacob and Hailey Martinez; April and Madison Martinez; and one great-grandson Elias Martinez.
