Lupe was born in Ferris, Tx on June 2nd 1944 to Silas Medina and Juanita Villarreal. She graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School in Ennis, Tx and taught catechism at St. John’s Catholic School. She then worked as a Regional Director of Operations for the Texas WIC Program for more than 20 years. Lupe was married to Jose Cirilo Orduna on November 30th, 1973 ; they were married for 50 years.
She enjoyed attending mass at the Cathedral of Guadalupe in Downtown Dallas, listening to Tejano music, spending her evenings watching her novelas, The Golden Girls and Wheel of Fortune. She always loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lupe Orduna is preceded in death by her parents: Silas Medina and Juanita Villarreal. Brothers: Celestino Medina and Johnny Medina. Sister: Angelita Munoz. Children: Michele Reyes, Francisco Galvan Garcia III, Francisco Galvan Garcia IV, Yolanda Garcia and Rosalinda Garcia .
Lupe is survived by her spouse: Jose Orduna. Son: Maurice Orduna. Son in law: Rene Reyes. Grandchildren: Gabriella Cordero, Daniela Reyes, Gabriel Orduna, Valeria Reyes, Adriana Orduna, Sarah Orduna and Erika Orduna. Great grandchildren: Jeremiah Reyes, Isabella Alvarado, Marcella Cordero and Sophia Alvarado. Sisters: Mary Hervert, Margaret Guerrero, Mona Medina. Brothers: Adolfo Medina and Silas Medina Jr. Pets: Peanut, Gordo, Izzy, and Nico.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on January 22, 2025 at Calvary Hill Chapel. Burial will be held at 12:00 PM January 22, 2025 at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220; Garden of Good Shepherd; Lot 116, Grave 1.
