Gwendolyn L. Maddox

Gwendolyn Maddox was born December 16, 1926 in Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Pearl and T. Pat Williams. She passed away May 20, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Gwendolyn graduated from North Dallas High School in 1943, and worked at the U.S. Treasury Department, where she met the love of her life Dennis Maddox. She went on to work for Georgia Pacific, which she retired from in 1986. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at the lake house on Cedar Creek Lake, and was a wonderful cook. Her turkey and dressing was awesome! Gwendolyn also loved watching TV, especially Wheel of Fortune and football, and listening to music. Elvis and Barbra Streisand were two of her particular favorites. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who made sure she spoiled her grandchildren at every opportunity.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Maddox and her parents, Pearl and T. Pat Williams. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dennis L. Maddox; children, Randall Wayne Maddox and wife Cindy, and Gary Stephen Maddox and wife Kim; grandchildren, Christy Lynn Hammar and husband Martin, and Rachel Ann Maddox; great-granddaughter, Hanna Penelope Hammar; brother, Rodney Williams and wife Joan; sister, Nancy Edwards; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
