Gwendolyn Faye Smith

Gwendolyn Faye Smith, affectionately known as “Gigi,” of Mesquite, Texas, transitioned on May 14, 2026. She was born on September 5, 1948, and lived a life marked by love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was the beloved daughter of the late William Smith and Marzie Smith.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Gilda Alleyne, and her niece, Sonia Miller.

She is survived by her children, Gregory Smith and Andrea Brame (Kenneth Brame); and her cherished grandchild, Tristan Smith. She is also survived by her sister Linda Cunningham (John Cunningham) and her brother Bobby Smith (Yvonne Smith), along with extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Mimi Smith (Luis Smith), Tyra Smith, Kellie Cunningham, Melanie Cunningham, and Krystal Duncan.

She is also survived by her nephews, Bobby Smith II, Stephen Karunga, Fred Smith, and Noah Jacobs.

Gigi will be remembered for her quiet strength, deep love for her family, and the steady warmth she brought into every life she touched. Her legacy lives on through the love she gave and the family she built.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving family and friends who will miss her presence deeply.
