

Harris was born on February 24, 1923, in Wylie, Texas. On March 1, 1942, he married the love of his life, Juanita Frances Smith, beginning a marriage filled with devotion and shared memories.
Harris built a long and successful career in automobile sales, working for Lonestar Cadillac and Rodger Meier Cadillac. Over the course of more than 40 years, he specialized in selling new Cadillacs and developed lasting relationships with customers and colleagues. His dedication to the automotive industry led him to become a lifetime member of the Cadillac Crest Club.
Harris will be remembered for his strong work ethic, commitment to family, and the many friendships he made throughout his long life.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Joplin and wife Jane Joplin of Athens, Texas; sister, Mae Frances Lockhart of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Kim Shaw and husband Casey of Reisel, Texas; Jason Joplin and wife Angela of Imperial Beach, California; Jennifer Sheppler and husband Troy of Palestine, Texas; and Jarrod Joplin and wife AJ of Larkspur, California; great-grandchildren, Noah Sisneros, Julius Joplin, Lucius Joplin, Madison Du Va and husband James, Morgan Key, Olivia Joplin, Oaklie Joplin, Ossie Joplin, Claire Baker and husband Cody, Amanda Sheppler, and Shiloh Peckham; great-great-grandchildren, Tray Key and Eleanor Sisneros; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
His long life and legacy of dedication to family and career will be cherished by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, on March 16, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at the same location at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
