Helen Marie Ingels was born Feb. 6, 1931 in Sweetwater, TX to Jerome Julian and Elisa “Alice” Verest Ingels. She passed away January 18, 2015. Helen’s life was a simple one. She enjoyed embroidering, playing the game “Sorry” and watching her westerns and soap operas on TV. Helen also loved poetry and would find poems and type them to share with her family. She loved going ANYWHERE, especially visiting her nephew’s family in Arizona, where they’d take her to the n earby casino, or Belgium where her niece would introduce her to all the military personnel, teachers and children on base. Her greatest joy in life was being with family and caring for “the babies” - 3 generations of nieces and nephews. Helen loved Christmas and always bought little gifts for the children, having them wrapped months before the holiday. She also loved receiving gifts and typed out individual Christmas lists to give to her nieces and nephews, making sure she’d get all the little things she wanted! Helen was a huge Roy Rogers fan until Chuck Norris came on the scene! Several years ago, she actually had the chance to meet and have her picture taken with him - one of the highlights of her life! She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her siblings, Silvie Sibila, Alice Morgan and Jerome Ingels, all of Dallas; 14 nieces and nephews, 34 great, 40 great-great and 3 great-great-great nieces and nephews. She will be missed by them all. Rosary at 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 22 followed by Memorial Service at 3:30 pm –Grace Presbyterian Vlg. Chapel, Oak Cliff. Please feel free to wear a Christimas sweater in honor of Helen's favorite holiday.
