Henry Escobar, 59, of Dallas, Texas passed away on July 18, 2014. Henry was born to Alfredo Escobar and Consuelo Valverde Escobar in Matador, Texas on August 16, 1954. He was one of 10 children and loved spending time with his family. He was often cheering on the Dallas Cowboys or Texas Rangers and showing off his grilling skills while he listened and danced along to his tejano music. Beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend, Henry will be dearly remembered.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Consuelo Escobar and brothers, Alfredo, Gilbert, and Oscar Escobar.
Henry in survived by his loving wife, Irma; children, Henry Jr. and Michaela; grandchildren, Henry Escobar III, Josiah Escobar and Delylah Marie Escobar; brothers and sisters, Mary Bentancourt, Olga (Julio) Treviño, Fernando Escobar, Sammy (Patty) Escobar, Francis (Robin) Escobar, Susie Escobar, and Richard (Kim) Escobar amongst many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 2p.m. to 8p.m. and Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 12 to 8 p.m. A rosary will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 4, 2014 at 10a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln. Dallas, TX 75220.
