

Born on September 3rd, 1939, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Hermenegildo was the cherished son of Hermenegildo Almanza Garza and Guadalupe Gamez de Almanza. He was one of eleven siblings, growing up with six brothers and four sisters in a close-knit and loving family.
Hermenegildo was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Alejandra Lopez Almanza; his parents, Hermenegildo and Guadalupe; and his brothers, Alfonso, Ernesto, Jose, Pablo, Rogelio, and Hector Almanza.
He is lovingly survived by his children, David Almanza and Alice Almanza; his grandchildren, four surviving sisters, and numerous other relatives and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
A man of many talents and great warmth, Hermenegildo found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, cooking, and doing handyman work around the house. He had a special fondness for old ballads and enjoyed listening to records while sharing long, spirited stories and jokes that brought smiles to everyone around him.
Hermenegildo will be remembered not only for his skills and humor but for the love he shared with his family and community throughout his 33 years in Pleasant Grove.
His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of laughter, love, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
