Howard A. Koch, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas August 6, 2010. Born June 15, 1922 in Evanston, Illinois, he is predeceased by his parents Howard A. Koch, Sr. and Maude Silldorf Koch, his beloved wife of 61 years, Helen Gray Koch and his son Sandy Koch. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Koch of Loveland, Colorado and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family members. After earning his PhD in Chemical Engineering at Northwestern University, he accepted a position with ARCO where he enjoyed a long and illustrious career until his retirement. Howard greatly enjoyed watching and playing golf and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and before them, the Dallas Texans. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday August 16th at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Dr. Fran Shelton officiating. If desired, memorials may be made to Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church.
