

She accepted Christ at an early age at Good Street Baptist Church. Jackie received her education at Booker T. Washington High School.
In her leisure time Jackie, enjoyed sports, traveling, shopping, reading, cooking, hosting Superbowl parties, crossword from Dallas Morning News paper, ordering from QVC and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Jackie dedicated many years of service to caring for others working as a Registered Nurse in the maternity ward at St. Paul Hospital for ten years. After leaving nursing, she continued her professional journey at Neiman Marcus, where she worked in accounts payable department for thirty-eight years before retiring.
She peacefully transitioned on December 23, 2025 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital of Sunnyvale, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, L.B. Butcher; her mother, Candance Griggs; previous husband, John Henry and father-in-law, Fred Henry.
Precious memories will be forever cherished by her one daughter, Sharon R. Brown; three sons, Carey Butcher, John Butcher (Karen) and Steven Henry; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Henry, Steven K. Henry and Bianca Butcher; two brothers, Don Fields and L.B. Butcher, Jr.; two great granddaughters, Kayliah Henry and Paisley Fisher and a host of family and friends who love her dearly. She was a source of wisdom and guiding light. Loving you always and eternity, mommy, nanny and Gigi.
