James Aaron Hill

Jim Hill, age 87, of Dallas, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 after a short illness. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma to Ray and Anna Hill on October 6, 1938. Most of his childhood was spent in Kermit, Texas. He attended Texas Tech until 1960, and moved to Dallas in 1970. Until his retirement, Jim worked as an assistant manager in several retail stores.

Jim was a faithful member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church where he served as a church usher and volunteer for Meals on Wheels for several years. He loved spending time with is beloved cat Bits, working in the yard, having meals every week with his buddies, and helping anyone that had a need. Jim treated everyone with kindness and always gave encouragement to everyone he met. He was always willing to help anyone that needed assistance.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Anna Hill; step-mother, Chris Hill; step-sisters, Linda White and Ladonna Aycox; step-brother-in-law, Danny Aycox; and his beloved cat, Barney.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn Hill; step-sister, Lola Parker; step-brother, Rodney Culberson; step-brother-in-law, Bill White; beloved cat, Bits; and a host of cousins and friends.

A visitation for James will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Lake Highlands Baptist Church, 642 Brookhurst Dr, Dallas, Texas 75218, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gideons International and Meals on Wheels.
