Ms. Janice "Cissy" Lea Fannin

Janice was employed by Dept of Defense-DCMA for 35 years. She was a member of Wheatland UMC and served in many capacities. Her most recent years have been spent volunteering at Methodist Dallas Medical Center for about the last 14 or 15 years. She was a member of Flora #794 OES and served as Worthy Matron for 2 terms. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing games, and taking care of her horses and dogs as part of her wonderful life. She regularly donated blood to Carter Bloodcare . Please consider donating blood in her memory.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents Abram L and Gracie Inez Fannin, brother James Fannin, and great nephew Dalton Farrell. Survived by sister Laura Fannin, brother Wayne Fannin, niece Tammy Salas and husband George, niece Frances Farrell, nephew James Fannin JR and wife Ranea, nephew Ezra Castleman, nephew Albert Fannin, niece Molly Boulware and husband Jayme, and niece Ivy May DeBruycker and wife Allie. A visitation for Cissy will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A funeral will occur Monday, September 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A committal will occur Monday, September 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Laurel Land Mem Park - Dallas, 6300 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy., Dallas, TX 75232.
